Obituary for Billy Joe (Bill) Dill Billy Joe (Bill) Dill
Glasgow Baptist Church Member Was Mohawk Retiree

Mr. Billy Joe (Bill) Dill, 85, of Natural Bridge, Virginia went to be with the Lord Sunday, November 15, 2020 at UVA Medical Center.

He was born December 7, 1934 in Beavertown, Ala., a son of the late William Winston Dill and Florence Marie Weeks Dill.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobbie Ray Dill.

Bill was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church and retired with 42 years of service with Lees Commercial Carpet Company/Mohawk Industries in Glasgow.

He served his country in the U. S. Army and was a life member of the Glasgow Lifesaving and First Aid Crew. Bill was also very active in the Men's Prayer Breakfast for many years.

Surviving are his wife, Martha Sue Wingfield Dill; four children, Deborah Sue Shafer (Jay) of Natural Bridge, Sherry Annette Byers (Timmy) of Buena Vista, Patricia Lynn Figgers (Craig), of Hampton and Michael Allen Dill (Jodie) of Bedford, Mass.; a brother, Joseph Seaborn Dill of Newberry, S.C.; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 21 at Glasgow Cemetery by the Rev. Larry Ross and Pastor Terry Bostic.

Social distancing will apply and everyone attending will be required to wear a mask.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Glasgow Baptist Church, 805 10th Street, Glasgow, VA 24555.

Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory.
