Carolyn Gearhart Roberts, of Buena Vista, Virginia, passed away at 68 on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at her home surrounded by family.

Carolyn was born March 24, 1952, the daughter of the late Rockford and Beatrice Gearhart.

She was preceded in death by her son, Heath (Peter) Roberts.

Carolyn met the love of her life, Melvin, and they were wed in the summer of 1975. While raising their family, Carolyn earned her nursing degree and was a registered nurse for over 30 years.

She was an active member at Calvary Brethren Church and loved her church family. Carolyn's faith and relationship with the Lord was very important to her. It brought her peace and comfort. Her love for knowledge and compassion for others made her a wonderful wife, mother, mee maw, and friend.

Carolyn was married for 45 years and survived by her loving husband, C. Melvin Roberts; children, C. Brock (Ashley) Roberts, and Kelly (Todd) Carr; grandchildren, Adalyn and Heath Carr and Ethan Roberts; brothers, Gary (Dorothy) Gearhart, Kevin Gearhart, and Curtis Gearhart, David (Donna) Gearhart, Joe Gearhart and Les (Erin) Gearhart; and siblings, Kim Wickham, Andrew Gearhart, John Gearhart and Joe Gearhart.
