Obituary for Donald R. (Donnie) Perdue Donald R. (Donnie) Perdue
WV Dept. Of Highways Retiree Was Lewisburg Resident

Donald R. (Donnie) Perdue, 73, of Lewisburg, West Virginia, left this world and entered a world of peace, joy, and contentment with his Savior on January 21, 2021.

Born February 10, 1947 in Ronceverte, WV, he was the son of the late Kenneth Hope and Weston Light Perdue.

Donnie was known for his love of family, friends, and his love of hunting and the outdoors. He was always there to meet any needs of those around. He never met a stranger.

He was retired from the WV Department of Highways with thirty-four years of service as a heavy equipment operator.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Perdue.

Those left to celebrate his life are his loving wife of fifty-three years, Carol Vaughan Perdue; daughters, Sherri Workman (Billy) of Lewisburg, WV, and Shannon Kirk (Richard) of Frankford, WV; brother, Kenneth Perdue Jr. (Veda) of Clarksburg, WV; Joann Fogus of Frankford, WV, Marion Bailey of Frankford, WV and Barbara Brown of Waynesboro, VA. Also surviving are his grandchildren that he cherished, Zoe Kirk, Tristan Toler (Brennan), Lauren Hopkins (Zachary), Joshua Kirk, Elizabeth Kirk, Nathaniel Workman; great grandchildren, Maeve Kirk and Rosie Toler, several nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 24, 2021 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jason Crabaugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosewood Cemetery, Lewisburg. WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Sunday at the funeral home.

We will be following COVID-19 regulations and require all guests wear a mask and be mindful of social distancing.
