Lexington Native Was Special Education Teacher

Shannon Anthony Clark, 47, of Lexington, Virginia, died Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Lewis Gale Hospital Alleghany.

Born March 3, 1973 in Lexington, he was a son of Charles Anthony "Tuck" Clark and Virginia "Mae" Bryant Clark.

Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his brother, Travis Quentin Clark.

Shannon was a special education teacher who had graduated from Lexington High School and then received his bachelor's degree from James Madison University. He loved to play all types of sports, but his favorite was basketball.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Johan Renee Coleman Clark; his children, Jaylen Quentin Clark (Kendis), Chandler Anthony Clark (Kyle), Bryant Kellee Clark (Piper Emore), and Camryn Jane Clark; a granddaughter, Avery Clark; and a special aunt, Susan Ray. Their father was a basketball coach and was loved by his children he coached and taught!

There will be no funeral service at this time.
