Helen Therese Coffey, 101, of Lexington, Virginia, passed away on February 22, 2021.
Born in Albany, N.Y., February 5, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Rudolphia and Michael Petoskey.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Robert L Coffey Sr., preceded her in death.
A member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, she was a loving mother and grandmother whose personality, love and whit left an everlasting presence never to be forgotten.
A retired business owner, she volunteered at The Lemon Tree Gift Shop at Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital for many years.
She loved reading, music, dancing, family, and spending Sunday afternoons with two of her very dear friends, Lydia Blackburn and Pauline Johnson of Lexington.
She is survived by one son, Bob (Cheryl) Naples, Fla.; and two daughters, Barbara (Jim) of Charles Town, W.Va., and Suzanne of Lexington. Also surviving are four grandsons, Cris (Caroline) of Wesley Chapel, Fla., Randy (Ruby) of Jacksonville, Fla., RJ of Fairfield, and DJ of Lexington; granddaughter, Kim of Charles Town, W.Va.; and 12 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Rachel, Robyn, Jordan, Jacob, Justin, Kaylin, Taylor, Hailey, Brylen, Vada and Liam.
A socially distanced, mask required, Memorial Mass will take place on March 5 at 2 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Joe D'Aurora officiating. Livestreaming will be available on You Tube or Facebook.
