Tondi Lee Holt, 54, of Elizabeth City, N.C., was lifted to the heavens on February 28, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by her son, T. J. Holt of Raleigh; her parents, Donald and Jean Holt of Buena Vista; her sister, Tracey Nelson (Jeffrey) of Williamston; and two nieces, McCaul and Bailey.

She selflessly and fiercely cared for her loved ones, even in her final days battling cancer. She found joy in even the smallest of wonders, including flowers, mountain air, and beach views, but nothing made her happier than spending time with her adoring family and friends. She had the uncanny ability to fill any room with laughter and warmth with her lighthearted sense of humor. Her optimistic and pure spirit will be missed daily by all who knew her.

A graduate of Parry McCluer High, she graduated from Southern Seminary College where she played basketball and received a degree from Mary Baldwin University, although her loyalties remained with the UNC Tar Heels.

She served as an asset manager for Excel Property Management.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 5 at Green Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Adam Williams and the Rev. W. David Bain officiating. Masks and social distancing are required.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pentecostal Holiness Building Fund or Jacob's Ladder Enrichment Program.
