Dennis Wayne Fury, age 65, of 3812 Longdale Furnace Road, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Sunday, March 7, 2021 at his residence.

Dennis was born January 29, 1956 in Alleghany County, Virginia to the late Willie Lee Fury and Helen Paitsel Fury.

He served in the United States Navy, and was a Control Operator for Westrock Corporation of Covington for 44 years.

He enjoyed motorcycles and gardening, and loved spending time with his grandchildren, who were the best part of his every day, and 9 "grandpuppies".

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and his father-in-law, Gerald Edwards.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Elaine Edwards Fury of Clifton Forge; a daughter, Schuyler Fury and husband, Larry Hipes of Covington; two sons, John Fury and wife, Sarah of Gladstone, and William Shane Fury of Clifton Forge; his mother-in-law, Freda V. Edwards of Clifton Forge; two sisters; a brother; a half-sister; a half-brother; a number of special brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; a granddaughter, Bella and a grandson, Lane; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. A private service will be held at a later date. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday evening, March 9, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the home of Larry and Schuyler, 105 Sugartree Lane, Rich Patch, Covington.
