Obituary for William (Bill) Carrington, Jr. William (Bill) Carrington, Jr.
White Sulphur Springs Resident Greenbrier Retiree, Lifelong Mason

William (Bill) Carrington, Jr., 75, of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, passed away Friday, March 12, 2021 at his home.

Born September 25, 1945 in Roanoke, Virginia, he was the son of the late William E. and Delcie Mae Riley Carrington.

William was a lifelong Mason with sixteen years of service at the Greenbrier Hotel.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons along with staying busy at home working on many projects. William loved spending time with family and sharing stories of the past. He passed his time by strategically playing the lottery. Full of knowledge he often shared it with whomever he crossed paths with. William met no stranger and had a huge heart to bless many in need. He loved his cat that he called Boots.

William will be especially remembered by his jokes and witty humor.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of fifty-four years, Linda Louise Wykle Carrington; sons, Michael Carrington (Carol) of White Sulphur Springs, WV and Christopher Carrington (Sarah) of Maxwelton, WV; daughters, Peggy Withrow (Kenny) of Homosassa, FL and Cindy Bennett (Jesse) of Lewisburg, WV; special nephew, Steven Grim of Virginia Beach, VA; nine grandchildren, Steve, Ashley, and Kelly Withrow, Kim Burke, Trista, Montana and Nicholas Carrington, Gaige Ratliff and Cadyn Fauber; fifteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

William is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Clarence, Harvey, Leck, Charles, Vergil, Robert and Everette Carrington and Bob Mullins; sisters, Edith McQuade, Edna Carrington and Mabel Morris.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m, Friday, March 19, 2021 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV with Pastor Michael Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens, Lewisburg, WV. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 18, 2021 at the funeral home.

We will be following COVID-19 regulations and request guests wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
