Richard Franklin Tingler, 32, of Salem, Virginia, formerly of Covington, died Monday, March 22, 2021.

Mr. Tingler was born April 7, 1988 in Roanoke, the son of Malinda S. Aliff of Roanoke and Richard E. Tingler and friend, Laura Wilson of Covington.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Trysta Holland Tingler of Salem; his son, Damien Tingler of MD; his brother, Ben Drewry of Roanoke; two step sons, Jacob and Steven; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 27, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in Lone Star Cemetery with the Rev. Pam Irvine officiating.

The family will gather at Arritt Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m.
