Ethel Delores Kidd Mabry, age 80, of 1303 McAllister Drive, Covington, Virginia died Saturday, March 27, 2021 at her residence.

Delores was born December 2, 1940 in Eagle Rock, Virginia to the late Alvin Davis Kidd and Mary Virginia Kern Kidd.

She was a retired self-employed Certified Nursing Assistant who was a caregiver to many people throughout her life.

She was a member of the Clifton Forge Moose Lodge Ladies of the Moose, and enjoyed listening to country gospel music.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Edward Mabry and four brothers, Alvin D. Kidd, Jr., David Kidd, Robert Kidd, and Tony Kidd.

She is survived by two daughters, Gail Lynn Craft and husband, Phillip, and Brenda Lee Via and friend, Roy Overbay, both of Covington; a son, Edward Matthew Mabry and friend, Cathy Nicely of Harrisonburg; three grandchildren, Amy J. Jeffries and friend Michael Via, Cody A. Higgins, and Travis McLaughlin; a great grandchild, Braylin Entsminger; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Mr. Chris Fisher officiating. Interment will follow in Galatia Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Botetourt County. Pallbearers will be Barry Jeffries, Rocky Kidd, Jeff Kidd, and Kenny Goldberg. The family will visit with friends at Nicely Funeral Home on Wednesday afternoon from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service.
