Geraldine Irene Flint Southers, of Buena Vista, Virginia, went to be with her Heavenly Father on the afternoon of March 31, 2021.

She was born on November 27, 1932 in Buena Vista.

Geraldine was blessed with a large and loving family and was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Maude Flint,; her husband, Kenneth Southers; brothers, Lawrence, Ray and Paul Flint, and sister, Estelle Huey.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Wes Robinson and Janice and Dwight Shanks; grandchildren, Carlie Owen (Paul), Hunter Shanks, Ethan Robinson (Lucy), and Tess Robinson; and great-grandchildren, Blakely and Huntley Owen.

She was a member of Blue Ridge Baptist Church, enjoyed serving and sharing her testimony with others, and was loved by many.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 3 at Blue Ridge Baptist Church, 150 E. 11th St., Buena Vista, with Pastor Ralph Coleman officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Masks and social distancing are required.
