River Martin Anderson of Rockbridge Baths, Virginia, passed into the loving arms of his grandfathers who went before him on May 2, 2021.

River was born to Brandi Anderson on September 5, 2020 and is survived by a brother, Brantley Owens.

River, the "Gerber Baby," will be remembered as a loving snuggly child with an endearing smile and infectious laugh. River's pudgy cheeks and round shape endeared him to family and friends as the Buddha Baby, Butter Ball and Bubby.

River is survived by maternal grandmother, Belinda Martin; maternal great-grandmother, Loretta Clark; maternal great-grandmother, Betty Anderson; a special aunt and uncle, Kasey and Derek Leslie, as well as other numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of River's life will be held at a later date.

Burial at Bethesda Presbyterian Church, Rockbridge Baths, will be private.
