William Allen Reynolds, age 78, of 440 W. Park Street, Covington, Virginia, died Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke.

William was born September 4, 1942 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Johnnie Allen Reynolds and Margaret Lucille Agnor Reynolds.

He was an operator for Hercules and was a member and past union President for the Local # 884. He was also a member of the Clifton Forge Moose Lodge and the Covington Moose Lodge.

He loved fishing, hunting, and all sports.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard Allen Reynolds and a sister, Joyce Deacon.

He is survived by his life-long girlfriend, Cheryl Stapleton of Covington; two daughters, Betina S. Reynolds of Collinsville and Sharon L. Jeter of Covington; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge, with Reverend Bill Hartsfield officiating. Interment will immediately follow. There will be no visitation.
