James Henry Wilmore, 80, of Natural Bridge, Virginia, died Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at UVA Medical Center.

Born March 9, 1941 in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late James Henry Wilmore Sr. and Hettie Toman Wilmore.

James was a member of Broad Creek A. R. Presbyterian Church, and was a loader operator for CW Barger & Sons.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Whiteside Wilmore.

Surviving are children, Ted Whiteside Jr. and friend, Mayda Higgins of Lexington, Teresa Armstrong (Ricky) and Felicia Dudley (Jessie), Sue Goff (David), Teresa Fairchild, and Michael Wilmore, all of Buena Vista; nine grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 4 at Miller Cemetery with the Rev. Dean Staton officiating.
