Obituary for Irma (Crosier) Curran Irma (Crosier) Curran
Longtime White Sulphur Springs Elementary School Teacher Was Presbyterian Church Deacon

Irma (Crosier) Curran departed this life for the next on July 15, 2021 after a long illness.

She was born to parents Earl and Rossie (Wickline) Crosier in Gap Mills, WV in 1930 as the youngest sister to Alma (Campbell) and Gaynelle (Dahmer).

Irma graduated from Davis & Elkins College and spent over thirty years as a dedicated elementary teacher in White Sulphur Springs. She was also a long-time member and deacon of First Presbyterian Church in White Sulphur.

Her life was a daily testimony to her belief that the key to one's own happiness lies in finding ways to make others happy.

Her daughters, Sandra (John) Phillips, Pamela (Rick) Jenkinson, and Jennifer (Barry) Rich will forever cherish their mother...for her smile as warm as a summer's day, for her sparkling and quick sense of humor, ready for fun at any moment, for her innumerable thoughtful gestures, for her quiet strength in the face of challenges, and for her tireless devotion to her family. Irma was an unparalleled and patient listener who had the kindest, sweetest soul; to be included within her circle of caring was indeed an enduring treasure.

Her family extends special gratitude to Debbie Blankenship, Lisa Kuhn, Jerri Dowdy, Bea Phillips, and Darlene Milem, all who lovingly helped Irma's daughters care for her at home for the last three years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations have been requested to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, www.stjude.org.

Wallace and Wallace is in charge of the arrangements. A private family service will be held at a later date.
