John Michael Hall, age 49, of 601 Thornton Avenue, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Sunday, July 25, 2021 at his residence.

John Michael was born December 29, 1971 in Newport News, Virginia to Stephany Hall Williams.

He was a graduate of Roanoke College, where he received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Physics, then completed his studies at Christopher Newport University for a Masters Degree in Computer Science and Physics. He was an accomplished and published physicist, receiving an accommodation from Lt. Gen. Obering, Director of the Missile Defense Agency. He continued to work in missile defense for the United States Government and taught physics at ECPI University prior to becoming disabled.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, James and Ellamae Hall, and closely followed in death by his uncle, James E. Hall, Jr. on July 27, 2021.

He is survived by his mother, Stephany Hall Williams and husband, John of Suffolk; his aunts and uncles, Burrell Hall (Kathy), Jon-david Hall, Lloyd M. Hall (Sherry), Merry Ann Hall, and Angel Hall, all of Clifton Forge; as well as a number of loving cousins.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated.

There will be a shared time of visitation for John Michael and his uncle, Jamie on Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.
