Jean McKemy Brads of Lexington, Virginia, born July 25, 1947, passed away on July 30, 2021, in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital with family by her side.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Ray and Nancy McCullough McKemy; two brothers, Larry Ray and John David McKemy; and a sister, Linda Gay McKemy Hall.

Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Jessie Brads; two sons, Kenneth McKemy and Raymond Brads (Janet Madison) and a daughter, Nancy Frazier (Adam); two sisters, Mary Brads (Billy) and Pat Rhodenizer (Stevie); grandchildren, Jonathan Brads and Rachel Brads; two great-grandchildren; five nieces and nephews; ten great-nieces and nephews and two special nieces, Becky Watts and Tammy Ramsey; and three special furry grandchildren.

A celebration of life is planned for Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Vista Links golf course pavilion at 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
