Christopher Allen Hazen, 58, of 106 Minuet Drive, Covington, Virginia, died Wednesday, August 4, 2021 in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Hazen was born January 12, 1963 in Roanoke, a son of Joyce Kersey Hazen of Covington and the late William F. Hazen.

He was employed as a sub-contractor for Southern Erectors.

He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed the Washington football team and the Atlanta Braves baseball team.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his daughter and son-in-law, Brandi and Trenton Cunningham; his granddaughter, Alleigh Kelly; two grandsons, Benjamin Cunningham and Bellamy Cunningham, all of Gordo, AL; his sister, Lisa Bush and her husband, David of Troutville; his brother, Mike Hazen of Covington and one nephew, Chad Bostic of Roanoke.

A graveside funeral service will be held Monday, August 9, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. in Alleghany Memorial Park.
