Janet Ann Martin, 67, of Buena Vista, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021.

Born December 4, 1953 in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late James Mason Crawford and Lydia Violia Plogger Crawford.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Ray Martin Sr.; son, Thomas Martin; stepson, Anthony Martin; and brother, Wayne Crawford.

Janet was a long time member of the community in Rockbridge County. She retired from Wal-Mart after 13 years of service in July 2020.

Surviving are her sons, Robbie Martin and his fiancée, Amber Skipper, Jeff Martin, James Martin, and Tommy Martin Jr.; 10 grandchildren who she adored dearly, Chelsea Allen, Aaliyah Martin, Serena Martin, Justice Martin, Olivia Martin, Mecca Martin, Alicia Martin, Zoey Martin, Tommy Lee Martin and Izaiah Martin; one great-grandson, Michael Ray Cash; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 15 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 14 at Bolling, Grose and Lotts Funeral Home.
