Mrs. Geraldine (Gerri) Givens Galford, age 69, of Covington, Virginia, died Friday, September 10, 2021 at her residence.

Mrs. Galford was born September 30, 1951 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late Craig Emmett Givens Sr. and Ruth Ayers Givens.

Gerri enjoyed fishing and bear hunting. She was an avid NASCAR fan and loved watching Jimmie Johnson on race days.

Mrs. Galford is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Brown Robinson and husband, John of Iron Gate; two brothers, Craig E. Givens Jr. and wife, Brigitte of Xenia, Ohio and Charles E. Givens and companion, Brenda Gier of Covington; nephew, Scott Givens; and her "Grand Kitty Isis".

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Fletcher Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Frank Sizemore officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Loving Funeral Home, 350 N. Maple Ave., Covington, VA 24426 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
