Clifton Forge Homemaker Ran The Nursery At The Immanuel Baptist Church

Brenda Gayle Hayslett Daniel, age 76, of 4115 Forty-Two Road, Clifton Forge, Virginia went to meet the Lord on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany, Low Moor.

She was born January 4, 1945 in Clifton Forge to the late William Kermit Hayslett and Laura Larman Hayslett.

She was a homemaker throughout her life as well as a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, where she ran the nursery.

She loved her family and talking to friends, and was a very loving wife and mother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Gerald W. Hayslett, Gary Scott Hayslett, and Mitchell Cory Hayslett.

She is survived by her husband, Byron Earl "Barry" Daniel of Clifton Forge; a daughter, Blayne Kerry Daniel Murrell and husband, Phillip of Louisville, KY; a son, Byron Kermit "Barry" Vance Daniel and wife, Melissa of Roanoke; a sister, Julie Steese and husband, Fred of Oconto Falls, WI; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Mayo and Vicki Hayslett, both of Clifton Forge; three brothers, Ronald Elliot Hayslett and wife, Lynda, Wade Franklin Hayslett and wife, Joyce, and Farron Eugene Hayslett, all of Clifton Forge; two grandchildren, Dawson Grant Murrell and Dean Elliott Murrell; a number of nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Kathy Thompson of Eagle Rock.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Reverend Luke Benton and Reverend Lloyd Camp. Interment will follow in Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery, Clifton Forge.

Pallbearers will be Ralph Tucker, Cletus Nicely, Ron Seabolt, Brandon Nicely, Brad Day, Kevin Day, Josh Madison, Ricky Brown, and Randy Nicely.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Immanuel Baptist Church, 2819 Douthat Road, Clifton Forge, VA 24422 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, is handling arrangements.
