Katie Marie Pooley, 28, of Buena Vista, Virginia, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021.

Born May 5, 1993 in Rockbridge, she was the daughter of Allen K. Pooley and Kimberly Smith Pooley.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Howard L. Pooley and Freddie Smith.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son, Damion John Downs; brother, Lucas Pooley; grandmothers, Brenda Pooley and Mildred Smith; and many more loving family members.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 5 at Green Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Jay Thorne officiating.
