Obituary for Louise (Nannie) Pritt Louise (Nannie) Pritt
Homemaker Was First Church Of The Nazarene Member

Mrs. Louise (Nannie) Pritt, age 85, of Covington, Virginia, died Sunday, October 3, 2021 at her residence.

She was the wife of the late Thomas I. Pritt.

Mrs. Pritt was born October 31, 1935 in Bath County, the daughter of the late Fleet Gutshall and Beulah Botkins Gutshall.

A lifetime member of this community, she was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her home and raising her family.

Louise was a giving person who loved to help her family, friends and community.

Mrs. Pritt was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.

Most of all, Louise loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Pritt is survived by a son, Tommy Pritt and wife, Kathy of Covington; a daughter, Cathy Brown and husband, Donnie of Covington; three grandchildren, Christian Brown, Christy Anderson and husband, Chris and Lisa Pritt; seven great grandchildren, Tristan Brown, Zachary Brown, Noah Brown, Nathaniel McKinney, Caylee Anderson, Michael Parker and Marlee Parker; a brother, Weldon Gutshall of Roanoke; a sister, Joyce Ferris of Hot Springs; a number of nieces and nephews; and her hospice workers, Marie Dudley and Kathleen Fridley.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Pritt was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Marie Pritt and a special granddaughter, Angie "Pooh Bear" Gilpin.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021 at the First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Donnie Brown and Rev. Sonny Wiseman officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home.

The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the First Church of the Nazarene, C/O Donna Wiseman, 336 E. Parrish Street, Covington, VA 24426.
