Richard Albert Smith, recently of Buena Vista, Virginia, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021, after battling pancreatic cancer.

He worked in the printing industry as a color separator and framer. He was an artist in stained glass and woodworking.

Richard was an incredible baker and cook.

Richard, 66 years old, was born to Richard Payne Smith and Edith Marie Chaplin Smith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin, Thomas Payne, at birth, and brothers, William Matthew and Bryce Robert.

He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Fawn, and her mother, Beverly; sisters, Deborah Styler and Fawn Geslison; and brothers, Timothy Harrison, Christopher Eric, Samuel Adam and Jared Allen.

A private memorial service will be held for the immediate family.
