Luis Montero Corvalan, 86, of Lexington, Virginia, died October 17, 2021.

He was born February 1, 1936 in Santiago, Chile. He attended the Chilean Naval Academy where he graduated with an engineering degree and became a naval officer.

He immigrated to the United States with his wife and two daughters in 1970, and became a U. S. citizen. He raised his family in Cleveland, Ohio, and then followed his work to Washington, D.C. In his final 20 years, he moved to Lexington.

He was very connected to his family from all over the world, and his close friends here in Lexington.
