He relocated to his daughter and son-in-law's home in White Sulphur Springs, WV in 2015 where he enjoyed the small town life and close community.

He was an avid Detroit Tigers and University of Michigan football fan and watched as many games as he could. His favorite past time was gardening, always appreciating God's bountiful blessings from the land. Robert enjoyed the company of his children and their families, counting them as a blessing and source of pride.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcia Hagerman; siblings and their spouses, Howard "Junior" Hagerman and wife, Millie, Hattie Hagerman King and husband, Roy, Dorothy Hagerman, Ardith "Elaine" Hagerman Bye and husband, Walter, Betty Hagerman Weenik and husband, Richard, Lowell Hagerman and wife, Maria; an infant son, John Hagerman and son, James Alan MacTavish.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children: Elizabeth Baker and husband, Mike, Heidi Griffin and husband, James T., Emilie Curtis and husband, Steve, Thomas Hagerman and wife, Marlene, and Kristine Webb and husband, Kurt.

He loved his many grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. His many nieces and nephews will miss their uncle Bob. He will also be greatly missed by his church family at White Sulphur Springs Baptist Church where he was faithful in his attendance and worship.

We wish to thank Kanawha Hospice and the Peyton Hospice House staff for their care and kindness during his last few months on earth. Donations may be made in his honor in Lieu of flowers.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life and home going at White Sulphur Springs Baptist Church on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Randy Gilliam officiating.
