Mr. Roger Lee May, Sr., age 68, of Covington, Virginia, died Sunday, October 31, 2021 at LewisGale Hospital Alleghany, Low Moor.

Mr. May was born July 19, 1953 in Alleghany County, the son of the late John Clinton May, Jr. and Sylvia Jean Slayton May.

He was employed as a machine operator by ICI Chemicals for a number of years before his retirement.

Roger enjoyed playing his guitar and was a ham radio operator.

Most of all, he loved attending and displaying his classic cars at local cars shows as well as enjoyed spending time with his Kars Unlimited family.

Mr. May is survived by two sons, Roger Lee May, Jr. and Parker May; four daughters, Sylvia Sanchez, Stephanie Madison, Leslie May and Katy Matney; seven grandchildren; three brothers, John C. May, III, Daniel E. May and Garland D. May; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. May was preceded in death by his stepmother, Cynthia Byer May and two sisters, Belinda G. May and Jery Diane Windsor.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
