Brenda Lewis Markham, 76, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died Thursday, November 4, 2021.

Born July 28, 1945 in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of Carl W. Lewis and Louise Camden Lewis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Markham; son, Scott Ferguson; brother, Dick Lewis; and sister, Janet Agnor.

Surviving are her children, Edward Ferguson (Jeanne) of Hampton, Thomas Ferguson (Jennifer) of Tampa, Fla., Chantel Greenfield (Steve) of Greenville, S.C., and Todd Ferguson (Amy) of Troutville; seven grandchildren, Ashley Greenfield, Joshua Ferguson, Wesley Ferguson, Amanda Griffin, Michael Ferguson, Vinnie Ferguson Angelia Ferguson and Joey Ferguson; 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Hartless and Margaret Conner (Harold); brother, John Lewis (Betty); and numerous nephews and nieces.

The family will have a private memorial service.
