Obituary for Linda Belle Arbaugh Linda Belle Arbaugh
Ronceverte Resident Was Trinity United Methodist Church Member

Linda Belle Arbaugh, 74, of Ronceverte, West Virginia, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021.

She was born July 10, 1947, the daughter of the late Dennis "Walter" Arbaugh and Elaine Goodall Arbaugh.

She had 30 plus years working in retail, twenty-nine for George's Rexall.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she was an active supporter for years. She also enjoyed attending other area churches.

Linda was warm and friendly, "a people person" with a smile, kind word and a hug for anybody needing one. She was an avid reader and loved movies and music. Her biggest regret was not following her dreams. She never married; she lost Eddie, the love of her life in 1969.

Surviving Linda are cousins, Sally Pettigrew, Donald "Buck" Goodall and their children, and dear friends, especially Jeanette Arbaugh.

She was cremated at her request. Family and friends will gather at a later date to share memories.

Donations of sympathy may go to Ronceverte Public Library or your local animal shelter.

A POEM LINDA WANTED TO SHARE:

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.

Then someone at my side says: "There, she is gone!"

"Gone where?"

Gone from my sight. That is all.

Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says: "There, she is gone!"

there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout:

"Here she comes!"

and that is dying.
