First Assembly of God Church Was Liberty House Registered Nurse

Patricia Elizabeth (Pat) Sales Brown, age 74, of 5110 Rich Patch Road, Covington, Virginia went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at her residence.

She was born May 11, 1947 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Stephen Anthony Sales, Jr. and Frances Cornelia Vint Sales.

She was a registered nurse for the Liberty House in Clifton Forge and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Clifton Forge.

Pat enjoyed living in the country surrounded by the beauty of God's creation. She was an avid bird watcher, feeding both the winter birds and spring hummingbirds. She loved spending time with grandchildren, watching John Wayne movies, old comedies, mysteries and Hallmark Christmas movies. Her most precious moments were spent in worship and prayer with Jesus, her Lord.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wayne Brown; and a granddaughter, Rebecca Bush.

She is survived by two daughters, Angela Howdershelt and husband, Tim of Covington and Beth Holcomb and special friend, Robert Nicely of Iron Gate; a brother, Stephen A. Sales III and wife, Susan of Hayes, Va; four grandchildren, Elizabeth McLain and husband, Michael, Joshua Bush, Britney Holcomb and Abigail Bush; five great grandchildren, Isabelle, Amelie, Asher, Hannah, and Chelsea; two nephews, Stephen IV and Christopher; a niece, Ashley; her best friend, Ruthie Furry; and many other special friends throughout the community.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Pastor Teddy Bias officiating. Interment will follow in Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until time of service.
