Emmett Lee Kirby Jr., 78, of Buena Vista, Virginia, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021.

He was born April 22, 1943 in Rockbridge County, the son of the late Emmett Kirby Sr. and Eldeena Kirby.

Surviving are his daughters, Melissa Gilbert Fitzgerald and Tina Gilbert Beverly; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one on the way; a very special friend, Madeline H. Bardis; two sisters, Agnes and Martha; and one brother, Kenneth.

Per his wishes there will be no service.
