Bessie deJesus Mateo, 80, of Buena Vista, Virginia, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021.

Born April 2, 1941 in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Maximino deJesus and Andrea Delgado deJesus.

Surviving are her husband, Luis Antonio Mateo; three daughters, Arlene Fuentes, Elaine Mateo, and Mary Ann Broussard; nine grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
