Calvin Leroy White, Jr., 56, of Lewisburg, West Virginia, sunset was January 1, 2022 at his residence.

His sunrise was December 30, 1965 in Ronceverte, the son of Frances Samuels and the late Calvin L. White, Sr.

Calvin attended Greenbrier East High School. There he was a member of the track and field team as a distance runner. He attended Mt. Tabor Baptist church as a youth. He had a passion and gift for swimming.

Anyone that knew Calvin knew his proudest accomplishment was raising his only child while being a single dad. They shared a love and devotion only God could put together. He even blessed them with the same birthday.

He is preceded in death by his brother, James F. White; grandparents, John and Elizabetha White and James and Henrietta Early and a special aunt, Pauline M. Andrews.

He leaves to mourn his mother, Frances Samuels; daughter, Latisha (Tyler) Deacon; grandchildren, Ayden and Izabellah Anderson and a sister, Sarah Chavis.

A celebration of life for Calvin will be held on Saturday January 15, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Pastor Rick Keener officiating, interment will follow at the Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg.
