Richard Grant Fridley Sr., 75, of 100 Nicholas Dr., Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Lewis Gale Alleghany Regional Hospital in Low Moor.

Mr. Fridley was born on December 23, 1946 in Covington, a son of the late Russell Grant and Cora Virginia Humphries Fridley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife in 2018, Cynthia Marie Leech Fridley.

He worked at Hercules and retired from the maintenance at Philip Morris USA in Richmond.

He was an avid outdoorsman.

Surviving are his daughter, Teresa Fridley; a son, Richard Fridley Jr., all of Clifton Forge; and a sister, Patricia Ann Fridley of Richmond.

In keeping with his wishes his body has been cremated.

A service will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 6 p.m. in the Chapel of the Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Edith Snedegar officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service on Monday.

The funeral arrangements are being handled by Arritt Funeral Home.
