Dorothy Sensabaugh Moore passed away at Carilion Rockbridge Community Hospital on February 7, 2022.

She was born on Jan. 28, 1933. She just celebrated her 89th birthday just days before the Lord called her home.

Born to John and Sallie Sensabaugh of Brownsburg, Dot was preceded in death by both parents, her beloved husband of 62 years, Ralph A. Moore, six brothers and a son-in-law, M. Henry Floyd.

Survivors include her daughter, Jean M. Floyd; granddaughter, Dr. Jennifer Floyd (Mike); a son/nephew, Tim Ayers; a brother, Thomas Sensabaugh; and many nieces and nephews.

Dot loved helping people and truly had a servant's heart. She was always available for family and friends throughout the years. Dot was the first person anyone called for help. She was such a special lady and will be dearly missed.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 10 at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Adam Watts officiating.
