Obituary for Margaret Krimm Francis Margaret Krimm Francis
Clifton Forge Native Dies At Age 84

Margaret Krimm Francis, age 84, of 1601 Jackson Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia went to her Lord and Savior Tuesday, March 1, 2022.

She has been battling breast cancer at her residence since December 2020. She was doing Ok until February 15, 2022. Mom kept the faith through it all and had many more good days than bad days. I know in my heart Mom and Dad are in Heaven together now.

Mom was born October 21, 1937 in Clifton Forge to the late Frank N. and Lucy Via Krimm.

She was a 1956 graduate of Clifton Forge High School. She worked for VEPCO as a secretary, married Dad, was a homemaker until I started the 1st grade, then went to work for the Clifton Forge Health Department as an office manager for 25+ years before retiring - then came to work for dad and me at James M. Francis, CPA, PC as our office manager until dad passed 2009 and I closed the business.

Mom went to church every Sunday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church until she was no longer physically able to go. She read her prayer books daily and watched mass on TV several times weekly until her passing.

Mom was a life member of the Clifton Forge Volunteer Rescue Squad Ladies Auxiliary. Mom watched the Young and Restless Soap daily and if it was off air, Shentel got a phone call.

Mom enjoyed watching football, especially when Tom Brady's team won the Super Bowl a year ago. And golf back when Tiger Woods was on top. And tennis. Back in the late 70s, Mom enjoyed creating ceramics. The house is full of things she made. She enjoyed reading the local newspapers while watching TV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James B. "Jimmy" Francis on July 29, 2009; four sisters: Edith, Esther, Ruth, and Mary; and four brothers: Johnnie, Dickie, Leo and Felix - twins; and two sisters-in-law: Sara and Mary Sue; our Pekingese dog named Rowdy Rooter, who was part of our family for 18 years.

Mom is survived by myself, her son, James M. "Michael" Francis and girlfriend, Robin of Clifton Forge; and her twin sister, Barbara Norvell and husband, Ray of Clifton Forge, and their daughter, Tracey O'Connor and husband, Jeffery of Clifton Forge and their two kids Derek and Taylor; two sisters-in-law: Seatta Wilhelm and husband, Eddie of Clifton Forge, and Dora Martin of Gardner N.C.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

I want to thank "all" the people who prayed for my Mom while she battled breast cancer. I especially want to thank the following: Robin for talking and praying with Mom and keeping me positive. Pattye Ford, RN, NP and the staff of Mountain Regional Hospice. Aunt Barbara for the Wednesday home-cooked meals that created enough leftovers for days after.

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Mausoleum of Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor, with Father Tom Collins officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum.

Nicely Funeral Home of Clifton Forge is handling the arrangements.

I suggest memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the church and/or charity of your choice in my Mom's name.

She would like that.
