VDOT Road Maintenance Employee With Victory Baptist Church Member

David Anthony White, age 51, of 23389 Botetourt Road, Eagle Rock, Virginia went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 7, 2022 after fighting a courageous, 7 month battle with Glioblastoma. He passed at home, surrounded by his family.

David was born May 8, 1970 in Alexandria, Virginia to Marie White O'Neil and the late William Edward White.

He was a road maintenance worker for the Virginia Department of Transportation.

He attended Barnhardt Baptist Church in Goodview and Victory Baptist Church in Clifton Forge.

He was a hard worker who enjoyed fishing and watching Dallas Cowboys football. He loved being on his tractor and taking care of his family, and especially loved being a "Poppy".

In addition to his father, David was preceded in death by his step father, Lawrence O'Neil; his father-in-law, Vernon Raines; and his brother-in-law, Randy Raines.

David is survived by his wife, Pamela Raines White of Eagle Rock; his mother, Marie White O'Neil of Somerset; three daughters, Kelsi Holland and husband, Tyler of Clifton Forge, Hali Miller of Orange, and Calli White of Eagle Rock; two sons, Austin White and Ryan White of Eagle Rock; a sister, Kellee O'Neil of Somerset; two brothers, William White of Fayetteville, NC and Danny White of Orange; a granddaughter, Aubree Holland and another grandchild to arrive in September; and one niece and two nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Pastor Mark Harvey, Pastor Brandon Nicely, and Pastor Bill Dillon officiating.

The family will visit with friends on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge.
