Reta Bryant Grant, 84, of Buena Vista, Virginia died Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at her residence.

Born October 3, 1937 in Nelson County, she was a daughter of David Franklin Bryant and Kathleen Doyle Bryant.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Joe Stanley Grant; a granddaughter, Mary Lee Grant; daughter-in-law, Sherry Grant; sister, Nancy Allen; and brother, Lemuel Bryant.

She was a member of the Buena Vista Pentecostal Church.

Surviving are her children, Jeffery Grant (Lisa), Dale Grant, Tony Grant (Debbie), Pam Thomas (Craig), and Tammy Grant; grandchildren, Josh Grant, Jeremy Grant, Crystal Fitz, Hayley Blevins (Josh), Kathleen Main (Seth), and Jeffery Grant; great grandchildren, Kaylee Fitz and Harper Grant; sister, Shirley Fitzgerald; brother, Gary Bryant (Becky); special nieces, nephews; the many children she raised and loved as her own; her heart adopted children, Heather, Justin, Courtney, Sayler and Davey; life long friends, Red Sorrels, Judy and Ruth (MawMaw), Barbara Buchanan; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Hardy (Lee); and brothers-in-law, Selvey Grant (Geraldine) and Lewis Allen.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, April 4, 2022, at Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Adam Williams, the Rev. W. David Bain and Rev. Wayne Dickson. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 3 at the church.
