Mr. Jerry Burley, age 79, formerly of Covington, Virginia, died Thursday, June 2, 2022 at his residence in Henrico, Virginia.

He was the husband of the late Carol Brown Burley.

Mr. Burley was born April 1, 1943 in Alleghany County, the son of the late Samuel Henry Burley and Lena Tyree Burley.

During his working career, Mr. Burley was a transport driver for AmeriFleet Transportation.

Jerry enjoyed fishing, watching Virginia Tech Football and loved all animals, especially his dogs.

Mr. Burley was an avid collector of Coco-Cola products and Trail of Painted Ponies.

Mr. Burley is survived by his daughter, Samantha Burley; sister, Geraldine B. Lee; nieces, Penny McFall, Emily Van Ness and Shelly Smith; nephew, Scott Lee; and special friends, Art Pribble and Wayne Kidd.

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Burley is preceded in death by two brothers, Norman Burley and Mike Burley.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. David Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Persinger Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Dementia Society of America, P. O. Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901.
