Mrs. Edith Dunford Boerner, age 93, of Covington, Virginia, died Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the Brian Center-Alleghany, Low Moor.

She was the wife of the late Harry Grover Boerner, Jr.

Mrs. Boerner was born May 31, 1929 in Giles County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Giles W. Dunford and Naomi Myrtle Akers Dunford.

She was a former employee of Industrial Rayon.

Edith was a member of Granbery Memorial United Methodist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time in her yard especially working in her flowerbeds.

Mrs. Boerner is survived by two daughters, Judy Boerner Dressler and husband, Poncho of Covington and Nancy Boerner Jones and husband, Kyle of Hardy; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boerner was preceded in death by two brothers, Giles Frederick Dunford and Jack Boyd Dunford and two sisters, Dorothy Thompson and Betty Miller.

A private interment will be conducted.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 20, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home.
