Obituary for Charles Link Dixon Charles Link Dixon

County Native Dies At Central Virginia Training Center

Charles Link Dixon, 79, of Madison Heights, formerly of Lexington, died Wednesday, April 5, 2006 in the Central Virginia Training Center, Madison Heights.

Mr. Dixon was born February 2, 1927 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Frank McClung and Lucy Agnes Link Dixon.

Surviving are two brothers: Bruce McClung Dixon and Dennis Reginald Dixon, both of Lexington; two sisters: JoAnn Dixon Huffman of Lexington and Donna Dixon Shepherd of Glasgow; nine nephews, ten nieces, twenty-one great nephews and eightteen great nieces also survive.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2006 in the Harrison Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. William K. Thomas. Burial will follow in the Stonewall Jackson Cemetery.

The family received friends one hour prior to the service.

Arrangements were handled by the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.
