Obituary for James Edwin Wright Fred Leon Holland, Sr.,
Retired Maintenance Worker Was Employed By Tractor Supply

Fred Leon Holland, Sr., 68 of Lexington died Sunday, May 14, 2006 at his residence.

Leon was born July 17, 1937 in Rockbridge County, son of Margaret Carter Holland and the late Fred Bronson Holland.

He was a retired maintenance worker and worked part-time at Tractor Supply.

He was an U. S. Army veteran and a member of the Ben Salem Presbyterian Church.

Surviving with his mother Margaret of Lexington are two sons, Fred Leon Holland, Jr. and his wife Tammy of Vernon Hill, VA and Todd Mitchell Holland and wife Frances of Glasgow; grandchildren: Sarah, Bronson, Tiffany, Samuel and Jacob and great grandson, Christopher; brothers: Joe Holland of Lexington and Billy Holland of South Boston.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at the Lomax Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Miles officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Lomax Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Margaret Holland, 236 Forge Road, Lexington.

Memorial donations may be made to the Rockbridge Area Hospice or the Ben Salem Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are being handled by the Lomax Funeral Home, Buena Vista.
