Was Reeves Brothers Retiree

Norvella Lee Henderson, departed this life at her home, Thursday, July 13, 2006 after a brief illness.

She was born July 5, 1945 in Rocky Mount, Va. to the late Israel and Gladys Thompson Lee.

Norvella was preceded in death by her husband, Albert L. Henderson, Jr.; and one brother, Hugo M. Bibbs, Jr.

She is survived by two daughters, Natalie Hartwill-Harris of Charleston, W. Va.; Albertine L. Hartwill of Durham, N.C.; one son-in-law, Donald R. Harris of Charleston, W. Va.; two step-daughters, Sheryl Parham of Wappinger Falls, N.Y.; Kimberly Mitchell of Fort Washington, Md.; five grandchildren, Chelante and Dionte Mitchell, Jade Harris, Jordan Graves, and Jalik Harris. Survivors also include an aunt, Mrs. Nellie Evans (Rev. John) of Gastonia, N.C.; one sister, the Rev. Ruth T. Massie of Amherst, Va.; two brothers-in-law, Samuel Massie of Amherst and Jeremiah Henderson of Natural Bridge, Va.; five sisters-in-law, Shirley Henderson of Ruther Glen, Va.; Melva Washington of Buchanan, Va.; Macel Clyburn and Doris Gilliam of Leominster, Mass.; and Fayleen Haskins of Salem, Va.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was retired from Reeves Brothers in Buena Vista, Va.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, July 17, 2006 at Union Baptist Church in Glasgow, Va. Interment will follow in Indian Rock Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Union Baptist Church 733 McCulloch St., Glasgow, Va. Arrangements handled by Botetourt Funeral Home, 254-3000.
