Obituary for Angie Margaret Wade Greaver Angie Margaret Wade Greaver
Was Retired Rockbridge County Teacher

Angie Margaret Wade Greaver, 89, recently of Kendal Healthcare Center in Lexington and formerly of Goshen, died Monday Night, July 10, 2006 at The University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.

She was born on September 18, 1916 at Wades Mill in Raphine, the daughter of the late Charles H. and Nora Blanche Wade. In May of 1943 she married the late Henry "Pete" Greaver, who preceded her in death in 1989.

Mrs. Greaver was a retired teacher for Rockbridge County Schools after teaching for 36 years at the Goshen and Brownsburg Schools. She was a member of the Goshen Presbyterian Church where she was in the Ladies Circle. She was also a former member of the Goshen Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxillary.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by special family members and caretakers, Eugene Cox and wife Ann of Lexington and Polly Rector of Millboro and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Greaver was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold E. Wade and Roger H. Wade and one sister, Alice Amelia Wade.

A graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 13, 2006 at the Riverview Cemetery in Goshen with the Reverend John Haney, Reverend Otis Fisher, and Reverend Larry Brunson officiating. Interment followed at the cemetery. There was no viewing or visitation at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Goshen Presbyterian Church, c/o Pat Lawhorn, 139 Big River Road, Goshen, VA 24439.
