Julia E. Ramsey, 82, of Buena Vista, died Friday, August 4, 2006 at her residence.

She was born January 27, 1924 in Rockbridge County, daughter of the late Howard and Liza Clark.

She was a member of the Jesus Name Holiness Church in Dublin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry L. Ramsey and daughter, Becky Ramsey.

She is survived by her daughters: Hazel Patterson of Richmond, Priscilla Riddle of Dublin, Lisa Cash of Dublin, Brenda Ramsey Thompson of Dublin, and Ronda Ramsey of Buena Vista; her sons: Berley Clark of Glasgow, Wayne "Bounty" Ramsey of Fairfield, Clarence "Bubba" Ramsey of Dublin, Denny Ramsey of Afton, and Warren Jay "Skippy" Ramsey of Pulaski; 34 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren; and a very special friend, Boodle Montgomery.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 7, 2006 at the Lomax Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J. P. Hale officiating. Burial will follow in the Clark Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 6, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lomax Funeral Home, Buena Vista.
