Edward Otto Putbrese, 101, of Lexington, died Saturday, August 19, 2006.

He was born September 19, 1904, a son of the late August and Minnie Gosch Putbrese.

He was a member of the Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church.

He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law: Charles and Kay Putbrese of Iowa; Keith E. and Barbara Putbrese of Natural Bridge; and James L. Sandra Putbrese of Staunton; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Putbrese.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at the Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Schroeder officiating.

There will be a private burial. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.
