Lexington Resident Dies At Age 91

Gladys Lucille Reynolds McCormick, 91, of Lexington, Va., passed away Thursday evening, September 28, 2006, at Augusta Medical Center in Fisherville, Virginia.

She was born July 16, 1915 in Minden, West Virginia to the late Annie Belle Spradling and Thomas Malcolm Reynolds.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Ralph McCormick; a son, William Lee McCormick (7/29/06); 3 brothers, and her sister, Ruby Reynolds Dixon (July 16, 2006).

She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Lynn) M. Price, and son-In-Law, William David Price of Roanoke, VA.; 5 grandchildren: Annie W. Jones and husband, Al of West Monroe, LA.; Glen Woods and wife, Karen of Orlando, FL.; Judy W. Keller and husband, Leon of Junction City, KS., Barbara Woods and fiance, Jerry Langford of Charlotte, NC.; Thomas L. McCormick and wife, Dawn of Abilene, KS.; 7 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, former daughter-in-law, Greta M. Fletcher of Merritt Island, FL., sister-in-law, Meta McCormick of Bedford, Va., lots of nieces and nephews, and her grand puppy, Luci Lou. Plus, her loving, devoted and protective caregiver of over 13.5 years, Missy Floyd of Lexington, Virginia, whom she dearly loved and trusted.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Harrison's Funeral Home in Lexington, Virginia, with the Rev. Keith Moore, and Rev. James B. Grimmer officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday, October 2, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. Flowers are welcomed, but a memorial contribution may be made in her name to your favorite charity.

The Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory of Lexington, Virginia is serving the McCormick family.
