Obituary for Effie N. Hull Effie N. Hull
Operated Hull's Drive-In With Her Late Husband

Effie N. Hull, 78, of Buena Vista, died Sunday, October 8, 2006, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born January 8, 1928, in Carroll County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Rush and Nan Marshall Newman.

She operated Hull's Drive-In with her late husband, Sebert Hull.

She was a member of the Buena Vista Presbyterian Church where she belonged to the Presbyterian Women's Circle.

Her brothers, Vernon Newman, Maury Newman, and Mason Newman, preceded her in death.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Diana Hull Bucci and Michael of Williamsburg; two grandsons and their wives, Scott Bucci and Melissa of Richmond, and Mark Bucci and Courtney of Pittsburgh, PA; two sisters, Missouri Anderson of Sumerduck, VA, and Polly Gilbert of Front Royal; a twin brother, Jesse Newman of Dugspur, VA; a number of nieces and nephews; and her caregiver, Sue Camden.

The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 12, 2006, at the Buena Vista Presbyterian Church with Rev. Robert McMullen officiating. Burial will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Lomax Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Buena Vista Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 668, Buena Vista, VA 24416 or to Hull's Angels, P. O. Box 1, Lexington, VA 24450. Lomax Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
