Kenneth Ray McKinney, 44, of Buena Vista, formerly of Buchanan, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 16, 2006 at Augusta Medical Center after a 3 year battle with cancer.

He was born on December 4, 1961 and preceded in death by his great-grandmother (Little Granny) Stubbs; grandparents, Amos McKinney, Thurman and Lillian Pring; and three uncles.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Chittum McKinney; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Brandy Booze; grandsons, Caleb James and John Daniel Booze all of Blue Ridge; parents, Acie and Wanda McKinney of Buchanan; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Valerie McKinney of Glasgow; Timmy "Bones" and Suzanne McKinney of Buchanan; David McKinney of Hollywood, FL; sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Tim McCarty of Buchanan; grandmother, Beatrice McKinney of Hardy; brother-in-law, Timmy Chittum of Buena Vista; seven nephews, Cody and Andrew McCarty; Travis McKinney; Ryan Mowles; Brandon, Kyler, and Matthew McKinney; numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends; including special friend, Sandy Worth of Buena Vista.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 20, 2006 at 11 am in the First Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. W. A. Mills and Mr. Ron Cash officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhill Cemetery, Buena Vista. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Buena Vista on Thursday, October 19, 2006. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the funeral home in Ray's name for his funeral expenses.
