Gloria Ann Lester Strickler, 86, of Fincastle, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025.

Family was Gloria's hobby, as well as being involved in the work of Mill Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Gene Allan Strickler; her parents, Hubert James Lester and Edna Clay Baker Lester; sisters, Jean Pendry and Frances Baird.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Stanley E. and Lara Lee Marshall Strickler, and grandson, Alex Strickler; daughter, Tanya Strickler, and fiancé, Bryan Shorter, and grandsons, Logan and Evan Poff; sister, Joyce Howard; brother, Gary, and Gail Lester.

Gloria's funeral service will be held Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in Mill Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Danny Quirin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Mill Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 11475 Lee Highway, Fincastle, Virginia 24090.
